Not that small -- Elecraft products have real serial numbers that start
from 1 for each model, and owners tend to post them on the email
reflector. Going from memory, I seem to recall recent serial numbers in
the high 7800s for K2s (kit only), approaching #6,000 for K3s (kit or
built), and approaching #600 for the 500W 160-6M amp introduced this
spring that they don't ship unless it makes 600W on the HF bands. Like
Ten Tec,these are not el cheapo products - prices of the K2 and K3
depend on options, but I'd guess $1500-$2K is typical for a K2 as
configured (100W with tuner), and and $2,500 - $3,500 for a K3. Their
products also tend to have long waiting lists until they get production
ramped up.

AND -- their upcoming KX3 is going to find a home on a LOT of operating
desks, in a lot of backpacks, and in a lot of mobiles. I've heard
"about $850" for the 10W box, and there will be an amp and tuner that
can be remoted.
