There are those who say NO, as it will add torque to the rotator and  
it might fail.  If it slips, then you have to climb/reposition the  
mast in the rotator.
There are those who say YES, as it is the instruction given by the  
manufacturer.
If it doesn't slip, it won't require the climbing/repositioning, but  
the rotator might fail.
Flip a coin.
