I have made lots of skeds on 6M and 2M during contests (both as a single-op and multi-op). The success rate has been very good. I usually set skeds with guys who I know: 1) will show up, 2) are good scatter ops and 3) have a good station. Skeds are fun and can be a good way to fill in some holes in the grid map. Sitting by the rig at 4:00 AM listening to static is not fun. Setting a few skeds to work in between some randoms makes for a fun morning. Two cents Rich N0HJZ (EN34fv) |
