Harris County ARES is as you point out primarily a 146/440 user.
However we do talk to the SOC (State Op Ctr) on either 40, 60 or 75
meters.  And we do  use the data provisions of D-star on 1.2 GHz some
but its not a real big part of our operation at the moment.
