Let me do a mini promotion for using .174: Using 432.174 you are out of
everybody's way. That is a little used segment of the band. You will not
interfere with anybody. The same is true for 222.174, except for California,
where it is a repeater frequency. 1296.174 is pretty well in the clear, also.
Never heard a signal close to that frequency. No beacons in that range. On 902,
2304, 3456, 5760, 10 GHz, etc, it probably makes little difference what
frequency you operate, unless you are on the CW/SSB Call Frequency. But,
sticking with .174 makes things easy.

I understand what you're saying and I agree when you are already on 2m or 6m
and make a contact but outside of that if I want to just monitor on 220 or call
CQ where do I call? I can call on .174 for much of the northeast and southeast
but people have mentioned at least to other frequencies that are in use.

.080 seems to be common as you move west and now I'm seeing .065. If we are
all monitoring and calling on different frequencies, non-prearranged
contacts are virtually impossible.
