Rgr that. But if you reach a station out of the area that has a different 2m,
1.25m or 432 std they won't know where to look for you. If you want to QSY to
add that grid on another band as a multiplier the two of you need to agree on
what freq to use.
This is where the free text line is so valuable. Request the QSY, give the
freq and say QSL.
In fact if the other station doesn't have FT8 on the higher band they could
reply No 2m FT8.

SSB 1441555 QSL
The whole point is to find a way to run up the bands that you have in common.
Just like asking for a QSY after an SSB contact we should do the same on FT8.
My belief is that agile operators will fr back up a lot more multis if we learn
to QSY on FT8 than if we just sit ther pounding away on 50.313.
Maybe i am wrong.....

This brings up a point I was trying to make on the 220 group. It would be nice
if we had one national frequency everyone was using for FT8 on bands above 2m.
.174 is pretty common in the northeast and apparently southeast. .080 seems to
be common as you move west and now I'm seeing .065. If we are all monitoring
and calling on different frequencies, non-prearranged contacts are virtually
impossible.

For me and others the inabilty to QSY is one of the biggest gripes. Let's fix
that. Practice makes perfect. Let's set a standard. FT8 is a great grid
getter. Once the bearing is dialed in running the band should be easy.

Adding a grid every 3 minutes plus the QSO points going up the bands on FT8
when the bands are dead for PH beats the heck out of calling CQ endlessly after
you worked the regionals.
