HUH: Your Orion won't work with both the internal keyer and the key line from
the AUX I/O? Why? Mine does and I never thought about it much.

I have mine set up with paddles directly to the key in on the back at 35 WPM,
and an MFJ 493 keyboard keyer to the AUX keying line, at around 25 WPM, and a Y
connector from the AUX line to the confuser at about 18 WPM. Depending on
circumstances I usually one of the keyboards; since what Dr. Quack calls the
"authoritis" set in I can type better than I can key but if I need to get in a
hurry it's only a quick shift of a hand.

Been thinking about hooking up my 1950 Vibroplex bug (bought new during my very
first ham radio life) and trying that on the front panel jack. It should work -
although after fifty years I don't know how well I could send with it.
