The level of sanctimoniousness is becoming unbearable here. That
assertion that Americans cannot or do not act as interpreters of the law
everyday is absurd and certainly the courts are not the only place this
occurs. Every time a cop decides whether or not to write you a ticket
for speeding, he/she is interpreting the law. Lighten up.
