That the rule of thumb is accurate.
Granted it is NOT a direct 2 to 1 ratio, but at the time "for all practical
purposes" it seemed the be an accepted approximation. Short of sophisticated
electronic equipment to accurately measure PEP power the "rule of thumb"
seemed to be acceptable to many. We have to remember the vintage of the
SB-220
and the "mind set" of PEP vs. DC input at the time.\Lou
