The link seemed solid...however, sometimes the reported S/N ratio would drop
below 0 and the link would just quit.  I suppose the code in Karlnet looks
for this situation and drops the link...even though it may be just a signal
strength reporting problem from the PRISM II card and does not reflect the
reality, which is a good solid signal.  However, a dropped link, whether
from bogus signal strength reporting or a real sig. problem is still a
dropped link.     What is a real question to me is why the card seems to
work so well in my PtP link.  I further checked my notes, and the reported
signal strength at the AP-1000 in the PtP slot with the Orinoco card in and
then with the 100mW PRISM II card substituted was the same.  So, no problem
with reporting sig. strength in that slot.  Very strange.
