So what you're saying is we should always use the highest speed setting
we can get away with (without causing a ton of retransmits) or we cause
a slowdown in the whole system?
Or am I reading this wrong?

it increases the max Rx sensitivity or your clients (e.g., 1 Mb @ -94 vs
11 Mb @ -82), but causes you to waste more of your over-the-air time
e.g., if you were at 11 Mb vs 1 Mb, your 1 Mb clients (net net) would
transmit approximately 10x faster (e.g., more net capacity per
basestation...bandwidth disclaimers apply)

Does anyone know what the effects are of setting all the satellite
stations to 1Mbit or 2Mbit and setting the base station to 11Mbit? My
service plans only go up to 768k right now, so if it would help me to
change them all to 1 or 2 Mbit then I'd like to know... Thanks in
advance!
