You have posted this same thought several times.

"You can either work them or you can't."

How does this make the "VHF ways" so different than "HF ways" of
operating contests?

that if you can't work them on the radio you will be able to call them
up on the telephone or the internet and talk the other station through
a contact until you are able to "work them" on the radio. 

Why do you want to do it this way?

Why do you feel that we need to be able to do it this way?

>From my experience I think it is possible to operate the contest
and do well without having to do anything other than operate 
the radio on the bands I am using in the contest.
