And Les, there is this rule. Though talking in a park lot (and arranging a contact by conversation) is a very typical "ham" means of communications to most of us , doubt it applies in this case : >) 3.10. The use of non-Amateur Radio means of communication (for example, Internet or telephone) to solicit a contact (or contacts) during the contest period is not permitted.
