Joe (K0BX), make sure MMTTY is installed. If it is, then I wonder
if it needs to be installed in its default location which is
C:\Ham\MMTTY(I don't think so).

Don, I've never installed MMTTY in its default location and never
had an issue with the SM6RSW plug-in (other than the error in writing
Userpara.ini at start-up).

I have been able to successfully install the MMTTY plugin on my Windows 7

run the plug-in on. After installing V11 and the plug-in, I uninstalled the
plug-in and V11 and installed V12, then re-installed the plug-in and it worked
fine.

The Legacy Installer was not needed when installing the SM6SRW plug-in
With WriteLog 11 on my Windows 10 laptop. I do not currently have
Writelog 12 installed or I would check it as well.

The only issue I see is the inability to write UserPara.ini (update
any saved profiles) which results in a nuisance pop-up when starting
the RTTY window.

Hi everyone who answered my request. I am using Windows 10 and WL
12.08C/WLFlexDriver1203A. Also the rig is a FLEX-6300 running AFSK with
virtual audio and ptt cables I tried running the plug-in with the
LegacyInstaller from different folders, i.e. MMTTY, Download, but Windows would
not let move the Plugin to the Writelog directory (C:\Programs Files
(x86)\Writelog\Programs\) to run.My desktop computer which is Windows 10 has
the Plug-in stalled a working fine. I think that because I had the plugin
installed in Windows 8.1, that when Windows did the upgrade to windows 10 that
the plug-in stayed.
Now all of this discussion is good, but I really don't need the plug-in on the
Laytop. I am only Installing WL on the Laptop so that I can use it via WIFI
upstairs on those cold winters night where I don't want to go down to the cold
basement hamshack.
One note, "It is possible to achieve what you desire using the new .ocx plugin. You have to simply select the option
"speed limiting" this is by going to options... Setup... Misc (tab) under to port select third option and click
on"usb-port. There are 4 options: speed limiting seems to be best but sometimes on certain computers "polling &
speed limiting" seem to be better... Hope that makes sense.RegardsDean" Joe suggested it too I tried this a using
the polling & speed limiting" options and it worked, not 100 percent but at least I can follow the characters by both
sight and sound.
So far my use, I think this topic should be closed. Thanks for everyone help.

I suppose it's possible that the plug-in no longer works with WriteLog V12. It
seems to me that at one time I had the plugin installed on my Windows 10
machine but I don't know if that is when I had WL V11 or installed or what the
circumstances were.
I could have uninstalled it while beta testing and never reinstalled it. I
don't remember.
I just did a full install of V12.01 on my Windows 7 laptop and when I tried to
install the MMTTY plugin, I get the same error. It's not a Windows 10 issue.
Maybe the MMTTY plugin is not compatible with WL V12?
