Because I like CW contests much, much better.
But, it's somewhat of a challenge and a thrill to be able to sneak my
call in amongst the cacophony of would-be operators who believe that
running 1.5++ KW to multi-element stacked beams and sending their calls
endlessly resulting in just giant QRM on the DXers end. Yes sneaking in
amongst this and working the DX station with my "mighty five watts and a
cloud warmer antenna is both a thrill and a challenge.
As some of my friends who run a legal full gallon say: "Working DX with
such a rig is like picking apples off the tree in the back yard."
