The author of the post I was replying to used the argument that DC
should be a multiplier because otherwise Eric and other DC hams didn't
have much incentive to enter the contest if they had to compete against
the larger Maryland stations. I still don't see why DC is any different
in that regard compared with 95% of the hams who enter contests. Almost
all of us have to compete against much bigger stations in our own state
or province.
My "I don't get it" comment has nothing to do with DC's claim to
multiplier status as a political entity.
