Having been to Visalia three times in my life (from MI) I have to agree
with Mr. Neiger. Visalia is a wonderful experience.
However, if you're expecting Dayton when you go to Visalia, you will be
disappointed. You won't seem hams wearing pith helmets with scale model
towers on top, but you will get many hundreds of DXers and contesters.
As an "out-of-towner" I was always made to feel extremely welcome by the W6s.
Alas, the organizers have seen fit to hold Visalia on the weekend of the
Michigan QSO Party, so without a QSY I'll not make it again...
