Jim had the privledge of sitting in one of the less "crowded" sections of the
Saturday night dinner. Many folks didn't see dinner till after 9PM (7:30
was the stated serving time). Many folks didn't even get dinner, nor a seat
(given the service, those folks had a better time).
Visalia is a great convention. It has well overflowed the Holiday Inn capacity
and needs better venue - not unlike Dayton. I stand by my statement Visalia
needs help.

I'm interested in more "contest" sessions at the Visalia convention (contesting
is really the only reason I go to Visalia). I have discussed the idea
on a couple of mail lists, one of which Jim is a regular on.
I'd love to have a "contesting" convention - will it happen? Someday. For now,
us contestors have to use existing conventions.
