SIDC URSIGRAM 50130
SIDC SOLAR BULLETIN 30 Jan 2005, 1231UT
SIDC FORECAST (valid from 1230UT, 30 Jan 2005 until 01 Feb 2005)
SOLAR FLARES : Quiet conditions (<50% probability of C-class flares)
GEOMAGNETISM : Active conditions expected (A>=20 or K=4)
SOLAR PROTONS : Quiet
PREDICTIONS FOR 30 Jan 2005 10CM FLUX: 086 / AP: 019
PREDICTIONS FOR 31 Jan 2005 10CM FLUX: 087 / AP: 021
PREDICTIONS FOR 01 Feb 2005 10CM FLUX: 088 / AP: 012

COMMENT: The Sun stays at a low activity level. We predict B flares,
with a low probability of a C flare from active region #14 (NOAA0727).
The geomagnetic field was unsettled to active over the last few hours,
with occasional minor storm intervals at high latitudes. This responds
to the action of a high speed stream that grew yesterday Jan. 29 in the
middle of the day. The Bz component of the IMF is fluctuating strongly,
and the solar wind speed increased to 600km/s. We predict the
persistence of the unsettled to active conditions mainly for the next 24
hours. Thereafter, the geomagnetic field should become progressively
less disturbed.
