Just so we all understand where W4TV is coming from:

He is on a lot where he can not put up big antennas and so he wants to
use two radios to overcome that disadvantage. 

I see nothing wrong with that strategy at all. A very good idea, in
fact.

What he does not come right out and say though, is if he is put in a
two radio class with other two radio ops, he will be spending a lot of
time at the bottom of the list, they having better antennas on
average.

So he wants one radio guys to be in the same class he is in order to
have his score a bit higher up the ladder. It's as simple as that.

Admit it Joe, it's true.
