The ACE proton flux sensor reacted to the flares in the lower energy channels. This indicates that the Earth environment is magnetically connected to the flaring site. More flaring is expected from NOAA active region 713 in the coming day, after this the active region rotates behind the Western solar limb. In the next 24 hours a potential thus exists for an M-class flare and a proton event. Geomagnetic activity is expected to remain quiet (K<=3).
