Right....currently am using a pair of high value resistors to drain static to ground (8 ft ground rod BTW) and to ensure some semblance of ground potential. Will wind or buy a pair of hi mu inductors to replace the resistors at a later date...and plan also in putting in a knife switch to ground the feeders and loop directly to same ground rod...or rods. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ed" <w3nr@comcast.net>

Ahhhhhhh...success! Ran 600ohm feeders all the way to the tuner in the
shack! Since there is no wiring in that part of the ceiling, I just screwed some cuphooks on the ceiling and suspended the feeders in them. Preliminary
tuning is nice and smooth.

I did that once.....after $23,000 worth of fire damage from a direct
lightning strike that followed the open wire feeder into the house.

Be careful and take precautions. 73
