One can use all sorts of spark plugs & things to drain off those little sparkies mother nature puts out, however its hard to beat a DPDT heavy knife switch. For over 25 years I had a 3 wire Rhombic up 375 ft on a leg and with 4500 feet of wire basically in the form of a capacitor you can have your own fireworks display. Go with a knife switch.
