I figured it like this... If I purchased all parts separately, I have
no one to blame but myself if it does not work, especially I assembled
tubing from multiple sources, I cannot blame any one source for a
break or mechanical failure.
But if I purchase the whole kit and caboodle from one source, and it
breaks,... well... then I have one source to blame and from which to get
warranty service.
Someone asked how it plays on 160M... and I cannot quite say just
yet, as I have mostly used it on 80,40- 17and 20 Meters - and only
a little on the top band. Nevertheless, my experience on top band
has been quite positive - they can hear me and I hear them. Before
I was getting lousy results from a shortened sloper and just having
an antenna on 160 is a big step forward. Unfortunately, I cannot yet
say if it is a good antenna thereon, without more experience with it.
Again, the fact I can put our any signal on that band is a huge
improvement for me.
